Service Estimates Overview

All creation and maintenance of service (do-and-charge) estimates or field service estimates begins with the Estimate Information screen.

To create and maintain service estimates, you need to complete these steps:

  1. Either:
  1. Enter or maintain the estimate header details.

Refer to "Maintaining the Service Estimate Header".

  1. Optionally, if there are multiple stages in your estimate, add or maintain the estimate stages and variations.

Refer to "Estimate Transaction Processing - Stages - Variations and Stages" or "Estimate Transaction Processing - Stages - Load Stages".

  1. Add or maintain the materials needed for the estimate.

Refer to "Adding Materials to a Service Estimate".

  1. Optionally, add or maintain any text entered against the estimate (e.g. part numbers used by your staff).

  1. Add or maintain the labour needed to complete the job.

  1. Optionally, edit or maintain the estimate details as required.
